Against Mexico in a friendly, the Black Stars hope to break their losing streak - Ghana Vs Mexico Football Match Preview.
The fourth meeting between the two nations will take place in an international friendly in the United States, and the Ghanaian Black Stars will be going for their first-ever victory over Mexico.
Three times, Ghana and Mexico have squared off, with Mexico coming out on top each time. Ghana is a four-time champion of Africa.
Of their three meetings, two took place in the United States and one in England.
In a pre-World Cup friendly in Texas in 2006, the Black Stars faced Mexico for the first time. Guillermo Franco scored the only goal as Mexico defeated Ghana 1-0.
At the Craven Cottage, the home of English Premier League team Fulham, the two nations rekindled their rivalry two years later. Michael Essien gave Ghana the lead in the 55th minute, but a late rally by El Tri resulted in goals from Pavel Pardo and Carlos Salcido for Mexico, giving them the victory.
Elas Hernández's lone goal gave the Mexicans victory in Houston during their most recent meeting, which took place in 2017.
Both nations will use today's match as a warm-up game as Ghana begins its 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign next month and Mexico will compete in COPA America qualifying.
Chris Hughton, the coach of Ghana, hopes to use the game to address some of the team's issues, such as our inability to score early goals.
There is no question that we can improve in certain areas of our game. Perhaps one area we are truly working on is scoring goals early enough in games to take burden off ourselves," he remarked.
Mohammed Kudus, who has had a successful start to his West Ham career, will pair up once again with Edson Alvares as they compete against one another for the first time.
The 23-year-old, who has recently been Ghana's shining star, will be defended vigorously.
While the Black Stars will be without captain Andre Ayew, Thomas Partey from Arsneal and Jordan Ayew's youth will help.
Raul Jimenez of Fulham will provide a challenge to the Black Stars' defence.
Early on Sunday morning, the match will take place at Bank of America Stadium in North Carolina.
