Hughton after the humiliating USA loss: "I'm the right man for this job"-Black Stars
After the USA lesson on Wednesday, Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton reaffirmed his suitability for the position.
In a friendly match against a foreign team, Ghana was humiliated 4-0 at Geodis Park in Nashville, Tennessee.
As a result, Chris Hughton has now lost two straight games after falling to Mexico 2-0 earlier in the day.
Hughton said, "If you ask me if I feel like I'm the right person for this job, the answer is yes," during the news conference following the USA defeat, as quoted by Joy Sports' Fentuo Tahiru Fentuo.
In the 10th minute, the US seized the lead thanks to Giovanni Reyna, who capitalised on a sloppy clearance, then scored a second goal from the penalty spot after a Gideon Mensah foul.
After more shoddy defending in the 22nd minute, Florian Balogun received the third for the USA.
Reyna successfully converted a well-worked indirect free kick for his brace to put Ghana down by four in the 39th minute.
